Twenty-six residents of the Richmond Hill area took part in a challenge to raise funds for Richmond Good Neighbours by cumulatively running the equivalent height of Mount Everest. This is called Everesting.
Around ten families or households ran (or walked in some cases, or a mixture in others) up a hill in Richmond Park which goes from Petersham Gate towards Pembroke Lodge, as many times as they could within two hours – together their combined uphill ascents equalled an elevation of almost 12000m, a distance of over 240km in 342 ascents of the hill in Richmond Park, raising £4000 for Richmond Good Neighbours.
Thank you to all those who made the ascents and for your generous donation.
An amazing team effort.
